Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best recognized for her role as detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue, for which she was awarded the Emmy Award. Her credits comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was born the only child of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life in the company of four brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of being a court reporter. She began modelling in highschool and eventually gained commercial opportunities when she relocated into New York. As a teenager the first time she appeared as an actor was on the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actress who has been in many films, television shows, and dramas. Her career hasn't been successful or happy personal life. She has been in the past accomplished actress battled the effects of alcohol and two marriages that failed. Her custody was taken away from her son in 2005.
